ElectionBuddy automatically uses SSL security for all elections. This is fantastic for you, and your voters, but what does it mean?
SSL stands for "Secure Sockets Layer." It is a widely-trusted electronic security protocol that secures the connection between your voters' web browsers and Electionbuddy's server when your voters open the ballot, make their choices, and submit their ballot. This means that anyone who tries to "spy" on your voters while they vote will not be able to see your voters' choices.
We make SSL security mandatory for all our elections because we are passionate about making Electionbuddy a product you can trust. The security of your election is paramount to having accurate, legitimate results, and your organization should be able to trust Electionbuddy to be able to deliver accurate, legitimate results.
We use 256-bit encryption — the same as major banks!
