SMS Phone Number - Formatting Tips
In Notifications, when you select "SMS Notices", you will pick the country where the majority of text messages are being sent (default country).
Here are a few items to help you organize your phone numbers when sending text (SMS) messages:
- You can just put the format of your phone numbers in the same format that you would use in your own country. For example, in the United States and Canada, you would use a 10-digit number.
- For every number outside of your default country, use the full E.164 number. eg. start your phone number with a "+", the country code and the phone number. E.164 numbers are a maximum of 15 digits.
- Avoid extensions and spaces or extra characters. Text messages cannot go to extensions
