ElectionBuddy is designed so that certain features cannot be edited once an election is live. In order to protect the integrity of your election, additional access keys cannot be added after the election has started. However, we do have several solutions for you:

  1. The first way is to run a smaller election with the same data (you can duplicate your current election) and combine the election results yourself. If it is under 20 voters and only uses features included in the "Free" pricing as per https://electionbuddy.com/pricing, this will be at no charge.

  2. Redo the election with the correct amount of access keys. After you start your new election let us know and we will refund 50% of the cost of the first election. If you want to proceed with this option, please contact our Support team.

  3. We can add the access keys in our back-end. Please contact our Support team to learn more about this process.

It's important to note that this situation is avoidable by ensuring you have the correct setup before starting an election. On the Voter Page of the election setup, at the bottom of the page, you will find a section called Extra Voters. Simply, enter in the number of keys you wish to hold in reserve should you need to add voters during your election.
