Electronic Notice Delivery

For electronic notices (i.e. email and SMS notices that are distributed by ElectionBuddy), delivery depends on when your vote is scheduled to start. The notices are sent out as soon as your vote reaches its scheduled start time.

If your vote does not have a chance to sit in a "Ready to Run" stage (i.e. you did not set it up in advance — you set it up and started it all at the same time), the notices will take a few minutes to generate but will be sent out as soon as they are generated.

Otherwise, if your vote sits in a "Ready to Run" stage, the notices are generated, and queued — queued notices are waiting to be sent out at your vote's scheduled start time. Please note that, depending on the load on the ElectionBuddy queue, your notices may be slightly delayed in getting sent.

We encourage you to reach out to the support team, via the live chat on the ElectionBuddy website or support at electionbuddy dot com in the event of serious delays.

Postal Notice Delivery

For postal notices, the notice information takes a minimum of 2 days to be fully printed. Delivery can take 1-5 business days if the addresses are within the continental United States, and will be longer for Canada, Hawaii, Alaska and international addresses.

You can delay the sending of postal notices to allow your voters to vote electronically first.

The expected delivery date is listed in your voter list and if your voter has a US address, you can track the postcard in the mail. We do not guarantee arrival dates for postal notices as the date is dependent on USPS and other countries' mailing services.

Other Notice Delivery

For manual notices distributed by the administrator (i.e. Printed Notices or Create Notices Yourself), it's up to you, the administrator, as to when the notices will be distributed. You can access access keys and printed notices from the administration area once a vote is ready to run, and download and print them at your convenience.
